Hi, I think I was more impressed by your website than what you were selling.. lol!

Anyway I downloaded your manuals and printed them off, spent a couple of nights reading through everything first then decided to start by building my own wind-mill cause the sun rarely shines in the UK :)

Not being the most experienced person when it comes to DIY stuff I got the help of a friend and we managed to get most of the parts off eBay.

It took a week during my time off work to get this up and running, but that was time well spent.

Every time I'm watching TV I think to myself, my wind-mill is powering this! Such a different way of living.

I read further into recieving 'cash-back' for un-used electricity and came to an agreement with my electrical company.

After reading through your site I decided to just go for it because I've always had my eye on the idea of generating my own electricity.

Needless to say I was impressed with the plans you provided. They were clear and to the point and gave me everything I needed to know including where to source all the parts.

Hi Tony, very nice site but what's more impressive is what you've enabled me to do!

Now I'm not new to construction as I've built my own shed, greenhouse and pond before so if anything building a solar panel and wiring it up to my electrical supply was just another challenge.

I did this for 3 main reasons. 1. To increase the value of my house. 2. To make money from the electrical company and 3. For energy independance.

Have I achieved all 3 goals? No. What's missing? Complete energy independance. But that would require more than just solar panels.

Begger's can't be chooser's though right? :)

In terms of an investment opportunity, this is one of the best decisions I've ever made. This and property development. To anyone that is thinking of using these plans to increase the value of their homes I say go for it!

It's like going from analogue radio to digital radio. Once you've tried it and see the results for yourself there really is no turning back.

P.S. I should also mention that selling your own home made solar panels is a lucarative business in itself! But that's another story..

Hi Tony, a little background on me - I've been a joiner by trade for many years but I'm retired now. I saw this as an interesting project that I could do with my grandsons as well as teach them a few things about living greener and being self-reliant - something that schools don't teach these days..

Anyway, after downloading your guides I printed them out and studied them. To me the solar power plans are straight forward and I was even supirsed at the cost between a 'professional install' and the 'DIY install'. The materials can be sourced for next to nothing and assuming you've got the brass to do it, you will have your first system up and running in no time!

I find that the panels work best at an angle of 30-60 degrees and give out the most power or 'Solar PV' as they call it during 11:00am to 3:00pm when the sun is at it's strongest.

My grandsons can actually see 'electricity' in action. It's just one more thing they can start to appreciate in the world :)
